Welcome to the nurse practitioner e-cohort, a longitudinal follow up study conducted on graduates from all Australian university programs leading to formal Nurse Practitioner qualifications.

The objective of this study is to explore the introduction of new nurse practitioners (NP) into the workforce and organisations. Areas of interest include work patterns, further study and employment opportunities.

We aim to follow the nurse practitioners over their first five year period of practice. The gathered information will help us to understand the needs of new nurse practitioner whether it be type of employment, specialisation or further education.

We look forward to your valuable contribution in the NP e-cohort study. Your contribution is vital to the future planning and choices available to graduate nurse practitioner. Your participation will consist of completing three surveys over the next five years. You will be notified in advance by email in when it is time to undertake the survey.
